Statesmen 17
We've learned what our statesmen seek to achieve:
Thinking we'd believe all that we receive.
We perceive each view and trick up their sleeve,
These elegant thieves, who try to deceive.
Mistaking our peeves, they call us naïve;
In lieu of reprieve - our sad hearts must grieve.
