Starstruck

Starstruck

Gazing at the stars in the nighttime sky
A shooting star reflects an awestruck sigh.
The Northern lights make their appearance nigh
With vivid colored ribbons soaring high,
They penetrate my soul and mystify.
A cosmic gift to almost deify,
The wind joins in to sing a lullaby, 
I feel conjoined to let my spirit fly.

Connie you did such a lovely job of putting us right next to you to look up and watch that sky. I could see it. Monorhymes are difficult to write as they tend to sound forced. I rarely write them but wanted to enter this contest.
