Starry-Eyed
Hey, Twinkle Twinkle little star
Why are you the way you are?
Teasing and taunting from afar
While I walk barefoot without a car.
I am alone and the night is dark
I sleep on a cold bench in a park,
When hungry I eat tree's bark
And envy the free roaming lark.
Wet in the rains, hot under the sun
Getting my bearings I am on the run,
Up above the sky you get all the fun
You're looked up to - Me, they shun.
But it's OK, I am just the earth's scum,
Up above the world you beat your drum,
You sparkle and make things hum
While here below I hurt but keep mum!
