The Glory of Sacrifice
Look well to this day, young Marine
Your service in all its realities is but a brief moment
The reality of death and the glory of sacrifice
is the mortar that bonds brotherhood’
“Semper Fi”The Few, The Proud,
For in mortal strife; war, our yesterday’s were but a dream
and our tomorrow’s are never promised.
We were trained to exist well in the moment
and our tomorrow’s visions would then become a reality.
Fight well, and battle on, therefore, on this moment, it and it alone is life.
For a marine has nothing, unless he is willing to fight and die for his cause,
he cares nothing more then to preserve liberty.
