I am Stan the man
Stanley Martin Lieber was born on December 28, 1922,
In Manhattan, New York City,
n the apartment of his Romanian-born Jewish
immigrant parents,
He who that says that he is I am
I am Stan the man
Has a brother named Jack Lieber,
His father, trained as a dress cutter;
Worked only sporadically after the Great Depression;
As a child he was influenced by books and movies;
particularly those with Errol Flynn, this was the time he was in;

By the time Lee was in his teens,
Family was living in an apartment at 1720 University Avenue in The Bronx; While their parents slept on a foldout couch

Enjoyed writing, and entertained dreams
Of one day writing the "Great American Novel"
worked such part-time jobs as writing obituaries
For him wasn’t quite out of ordinary
He graduated from high school early, aged 16½ in 1939

The first superheroes Lee and artist Jack Kirby created together working with Kirby, Lee co-created the Hulk, Thor, Iron Man,and the X-Men;
with Bill Everett, Daredevil;
Stories so awesome, so cleaver;
with Steve Ditko, Doctor Strange and Marvel's most successful character, Spider-Man,
Lee and Kirby gathered several of their newly created characters together into the team title;
What art work and writings what battles;
The Avengers and would revive characters from the 1940's;
Such as the Sub-Mariner and Captain America;
All of which were called to duty;

The first superheroes Lee and artist Jack Kirby created together
Were the Fantastic;
A group of 4;
Then came an nerdy adolescent boy;
The Amazing Spider-Man;
To fight the Nazi threat Captain America;
Injured and blinded as a child yet fear less Daredevil;
An enraged scientist The Incredible Hulk;
Look Journey into Mystery (Thor);
Co created with brother Larry Lieber;
He who that says that he is I am;
I am Stan the man;
Bruce Banner lawyer cousin the Savage She-Hulk;
Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos war book;
Silver Surfer and Galactic
Strange Tales Human Torch
Master of Mystic Arts Doctor Strange
Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Tales to Astonish
Ant-Man/Giant Man all these comics created by Stan Lee
Iron Man and also The X-Men;
He who that says that he is I am;
I am Stan the man;
His dreams were lengthier;
His written works were readier;
His imagination was more steadier
Words jumped off the page heavier
This reality of a man made comics healthier
