Staircase

Bare wood creaked
a hand polished rail glistened
the texture of the risers
caressed her feet
each step
a staircase stanza
an elegant entrance
ballet-like
balancing
cold ground
a short dance
and relief

An inspired write John, stepping lightly on the mind with grace. Like it.
