"The Caine Mutiny" features Humphrey Bogart as paranoid Captain Queeg. His crew didn't give him the support he needed and some officers even sang about him as shown in the clip. Mental illness appears among certain leaders in many forms. Today we find narcissism, selfishness, and psychosis extending the stain spectrum beyond yellow.

What buoys the Harris campaign?
Trump’s stench with an orange pee stain
While Walz is revered
J.D. seems too weird
And Kennedy has a wormed brain

“ orange pee stain” surely made me laugh: i think you do know how i perceive political games and this is a fun one as always dear duke! So good to see you post. Kennedy has a wormed brain? I did not think so or know this. But you must have known reasons to say so: i respect always your thoughts! I cant wait to see what America chooses! Also i agree with your note on top! So true! Sad really! Sending you light always!

IE, yes, Kennedy has some kind of brain degradation that was caused by a parasite. If you have never watched the Caine Mutiny, it is a very powerful film that deals with action and inaction when facing someone with a mental disorder. We seem to have a similar situation here concerning our election. I truly feel very sorry for D.T. and hope he can address his disorder!!!

I enjoyed the song & clip, i also watched the breakdown clip, whoa. "Today we find narcissism, selfishness, and psychosis extending the stain spectrum beyond yellow." That's clever and unfortunate. As much as I feel sorry for Kennedy's illness, I'm so glad that he is out of the race! Very funny lim, Duke hope your enjoying Europe!

Yes, Anaya, the trip was wonderful. Went with wife and my two adult children. If you ever have a chance to watch the film, it has some very dramatic performances by Van Johnson and Jose Ferrer. The one by Ferrer comes toward the end of the film and puts everything in perspective for us. There's a huge moral lesson. I see you are taking a break. I will miss you and hope you will come back soon, but take all the time you need for what you need to do!!

SO, you are very kind. A limerick is like a puzzle in that it forces us to succinct presentation of an idea. However, you already knew that! I happen to like puzzles, and being to the point.

Tom, yes you are so right. Just got back from visiting the American cemetery in Luxembourg among other places. I cried when I was there. There are monsters who come to power and we just hope we can keep Donald (aka Kim/Vlad) from getting anywhere near the White House. It's hard to understand where these weird leaders come from, but they do have the ability to gather a following by force and cunning. Freedom seems much better to us.

Arlo, I will never say that one side or the other has everything right...but this time around it seems pretty clear that there are normal people with normal backgrounds running against a narcissistic monster who only thinks of himself. The poor guy does need serious psychiatric help. There must be a huge missing piece in his heart, though he will never admit that. His reaction to losing is certainly an indication of the defect inside.

Jan, thanks...it's not really that complicated. Do we want leaders like us and who understand what most of us go through (with normal behavioral parameters)...or leaders who are monsters (with characteristics of insanity)?
