Mother Blonde Daughter Garden #1 by Vickie Wade

"Love never dies it goes on and on and on." Quote by _Constance I think of my mother most in the springtime, she taught me to grow flowers sublime; I feel happy when they bloom, planting at her tomb. And I sigh, gloom; and I cry, oh, life can be doom ! But wait: Oh, the sweet perfume, so sweet the birdies that sing and chime; I think of my mother most in the springtime.

So much feeling infused into such a restrictive form. Your splendid words flow freely and the emotion warms the reader's heart. So beautifully written Constance. Thank you. A pleasure to read.

Your Andaree tribute to your poem was so touching; I, too, think of my mother most in the springtime. It was her time for gardening and planting flowers. It was her 'space' and place to be creative and be away from my brothers and I. She jokingly called her garden her 'sanity garden.' Probably some truth to that. Best wishes with the contest..a lovely entry, Sara
