Springtime

In wide eyed wonder
my love and I watched springtime
arrive in fields of
golden daffodils stretching
to where earth meets the blue sky.

Congratulations, Joyce. Daffodils are a gorgeous precursor of spring, hardy enough to stand the back drafts of winter. You helped me imagine a whole field of them. The best display of them in our city is at a local cemetery where they grace the roots of many many oak trees which line both sides of a a drive though it.
