CayCay Godwin Poet Sonnet

Springs Ballad Grace

Rough draft words beckon Spring’s lyrical pace
as gentle breezes tend pen wispy throes.
Vibrant refrains denote Spring's epic place
to tone ink roses dappled deep in prose.

Primed muses seek inspirational trace
to thaw flow blocking chills as iced by snows.
With driving chase, Spring brings her ballad grace
to beseech grand, lined styled bouquets of glows.

Rhymes weave verse classics composing Spring's ways.
No slang of common chorus, blank measure,
may assess her perfect cadence themed rays. 
Her finest gifts peak stanza versed pleasure.

Word lovers heed terms seeding fresh meter
as classic forms surge Spring’s ode forth sweeter.

In Craig's description he wrote "...make spring your muse in some way...", and after I posted this and read other entries, I realized I had taken literally what simply meant, 'get creative' and I was torn between anger towards myself and a fit of giggles.
