Spring Symphony
Spring sings love songs in the wind
Birds adding lyrics with delightful trills
Humming accompaniments in the pines
Melodies flowing sweetly over the hills
An aria cues the longer stems to sway
With bursting bulbs of rhapsodic color
The brook is babbling with clear water
A lone mourning dove singing low tenor
Symphony of beauty in seasonal sound
Beneath the noises we humans create
So busily engaged we often fail to hear
The lovely music Mother Nature makes
