in sweet harmony
birds trill joyous on trees tops
their songs drown the land
        as the wind on flowers kiss,
        I long for a pair of wings

What a magnificent tanka! Your presentation of the first three lines as your outer scene is so majestic. Then the pivot on the fourth line is just amazing plus the inner scene on the last line makes this masterpiece a stunning and unforgettable piece of gem. Being a tanka lover, I want to read this again and again. To my faves.
