Spoilsport

Kids want to play.
Rainy day comes.
The grey denies.

Rains cats and dogs.
Even hogs pout,
but frogs rejoice.

Clouds roll away.
Sun will stay out.
Make way for fun.

Hurrah for sun,
in just one hour
all done with games.

                                                  Won no. 10

JOyce, this is a great job. I am curious why you didn't name it the correct form? It's not lanterne. It's something like tha-bauk. Anyway, I found it very difficult to do and be witty at the same time. How ambitous of you to do four. I thought that was cute how you said the hogs pout!!

Nicely done my friend. You linked it well together to form one thought. Loved the imagery here. Rainy days can be a drag but then the kids can go out and play in the puddles. They love that. God Bless, JB

I was smiling thinkking about the frogs rejoicing in the rain, Joyce. Back in the day, I used to color or draw for hours on rainy days. Love your use of the form and the upbeat ending! Best wishes in Dr. Ram's contest. Love, Carolyn

Joyce, this is great! Loved the playfulness of this one ---especially hogs pouting!!!Also liked the rhyme between lines 9 and 10 (Fun/Sun). Makes me want to try the challenge for a 5 or 6 stanza Than-Bauk with multi rhyme scheme. Hope you place high for this smile maker! Cyndi
