Even though He was the Son of God The Light of the world, the way and the truth The life that would save believers, The One who would bring us true peace The inspiration for songs of praise The Savior, the reason I can always say… By His grace, I am saved! Even though He was the Creator of the world The Prince of Peace, the King of Kings The only way to know salvation… Even though He was the sacrifice for sin They wouldn’t agree – they wouldn’t believe in Him They would, instead, ask for His crucifixion Never realizing that He was the only reason They would ever know God’s grace, His forgiveness Without this man, this Savior of souls who believe… There would only be the fires of hell with him who decieves. Even though He was the Son of God, the Author… Of the world… sun, moon, stars… oceans and mountains, He would be crucified for simply being the Christ, The only way to real life, the forgiver of all our faults, The answer to all our prayers, the One we will praise… For the remainder of our years, despite all our fears, Even through the pain and sorrow, through our tears. Even though He was love – hope and grace… He was crucified between two who had deserved this fate When all was said and done, He gave up the ghost… The veil in the temple was rent, split wide open, Revealing the verity… Now, because Jesus had died Because He would be coming back to life, resurrected… His people don’t have need of a priest… The veil was rent so now, believers have an open door To speak with the Father, to pray and to praise, Because He died and sits on the right hand of the Father, We have an intercessor, One who can speak for us… When we pray, when we say… by Grace we are saved It is love that made a way.. oh, yes, love made a way that day! Matthew, Chapter 27 51. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52. And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, 53. And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. 54. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
