Split Second

Gone and over and done; now you see it, now you don't; Some total eclipse of the sun; shine it will, shine it won't. All in the blink of an eye; here today, gone tomorrow; Love that existed to die; happy smiles, tears of sorrow. A split second kick in the head; maybe it will, maybe it wouldn't; A cross-fade of rapture and dread; maybe it could, maybe it couldn't. A rift in the fabric of space; open, closed and cyclone weathered; Leaving no semblance or trace...all the days hang tarred and feathered.
