Spiritual Wisdom Download

My school,

was two blocks from a big old church.

I felt drawn to this big old church,

but why.

One day at lunch,

I snuck away from school.

I had no fear,

as I walked down the sidewalk.

The big wooden door,

was too heavy for my little hands.

As I leaned my body into the door,

it opened up.

I slowly walked in,

with my eyes opened wide.

I slipped into the last row of pews,

not knowing where to look first.

There were no lights on,

only the sun shining through the stained glass windows.

The beautiful colors were dancing,

as the stained glass windows came to life.

They had competition with the lit candles,

their many little lights danced in place.

When I looked up at the alter,

I saw a huge gold cross.

Peace I had found,

spiritual wisdom was now being download into me.

That moment of solace, when you enter a church; to a kid, it is special. I remember entering St. Peter's the first time; I was so awed at the statues and carvings and the windows colors. Takes me back a few decades, thanks.

Thank You, for writing. Yes, it was a wonderful experience. One day, the kids saw me and told our teacher. That put a stop to my lunch trips. Then my dad took me on Sundays. It was not the same, too many people. He would drop me off and pick me up. Days I will never forget. Have a blessed day/week and write on.............

Great inspiring write for all to embrace ,this cross giving you a peace within and wisdom to seek, we all have many signs that take place but to many get pulled back into worldly things, a tornado hit near me a few years ago , a church got blown away but the pulpit with the bible on it was still standing ,only thing left, many say just a coincidence , May God bless, comfort, guide and fill you with His love, peace, knowledge, wisdom, and joy in abundance

Thank You, for writing. Love your tornado story. There is a write here. I do not believe in coincidence. I have had to many say, just a coincidence. It was not, it was God. Have a blessed day/weekend and write on.........................
