Spiritual Delight
Kept in Christ's fortress
my spirit* delights in His gracious security
serenely shielded despite global crisis' angst.
By the Lord's sovereign compassion
my soul trusts His wisdom, perfectly best
exposing genuine peace for others to claim.
Midst God's saving might
my faith praises His redemption
while pleasing Him with faithful service.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit
my conscience, forgiven from sin-guilt
surrenders toward holy endeavours marked by love's bliss.
Exalting the Saviour's glorious name
my heart worships along gratitude's praise
blessed with eternal life's gift, worthy of sharing freely.
*Isaiah 26:9 With my soul have I desired thee (LORD) in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
