Fear binds my spirit
Shadowing me with rumors
Of sorrow and pain
Desperation that grays
The very soul with dread
Almost black as death
Love opens my heart
Blowing joy into my mind
Igniting faith and hope
Caressing my thoughts
Whispering kindness and light
With laughter sparkling inside
Fear binds – Love opens
Contradictory approaches
Growing from the one
Who listens to the whirl
Of racing emotions within
The spirit’s breath
