Speak Up

A pen is like a voice
It speaks to the heart
Unlike other voices
It has an immortal part
It can last as long
as the paper where it has writen
It could be proclaimed
Or by lovers secretly hidden
Pen and paper make a wonderful team
Saving imaginations recording dreams
A pen can define a station in life
The leader of a nation or a devoted wife
From places of dispare a pen was wittness
When patriots declared their independence
And Magna Carta dared to defend us
Inspirational writing there to cleanes us
This pen we have mightier than the sword
The voice of reason, message from the Lord
A way to reach the rest of the world
Or just one person just one girl

I'm a titch intrigued by you, TS. A poet who never responds to comments and one who needs no kudos from anyone to know your poetry is profoundly as interesting as your name. I don't use the title 'poet' loosely on this site, but you are definitely a poet.

I have to admit you picked a good one. Sometimes I'm surprised I wrote it. And I do respond just not often.

i agree, the pen in the hand of a writer is a voice. it happens to be my only true way of expressing myself and how i deal with things. this spoke to me, thank you for sharing this, -JuliMichelle

by the way -on my walmart moment. my hubbie was right there WITH me in the store when I realized my car was probably still running in the parking lot. I ran a lot faster than Joe out the door to go check it!!

lovely thoughts here, Situation. I LOVE words and paper and pen. it saddens me that with texting and computers and kindles, etc. all those things I hold dear are going out the window. A book to hold in my hands, a pen in my fingers. Can you imagine maybe in ten years hardly anyone will know those pleasures?
