Speak No Evil

The touch of their slice bleeds out my exuberant self As the pain they bring within, into anger ferments A hot spring of words akin to crepuscular hues bursts within But before my mouth can utter, consciousness becomes visceral And a blanket of penumbra covers my imploring, hurtful words My desultory state is taken back to halcyon times of my solitude- Did I not engage that inner voice to breathe opulent emotions in me?
