she was not the prettiest of birds dull plumage quite plain no voice to speak of but she knew she had something to contribute to this big world destined somehow for greatness before dawn every day she awoke and right on cue would show up to do her best whatever that meant she’d be there to not miss her chance AP: 3rd place 2020 Submitted on July 10, 2020 for contest BIRD POETRY sponsored by CONSTANCE LAFRANCE - RANKED 3RD

This is such a beautiful muse Line. Sparrows are homely, humble and helpful sprinkling joys with their chirps. Congratulations on your win. Blessings and love :)

Adorable, Line. I love your praise of this simply yet simply marvelous bird. Also thanks for my recent haibun win. Much appreciated being able to write on that theme. I have done it before in poems that were much too long. Your word limits is making me really like the haibun.

they are such chirpy, happy little birds, just like little children, happily playing together as they hop in and out of bushes. There is a large bush near me that comes alive with their tweeting, although you are not aware of them being there until they start to perform - quite magical. With kindest thoughts Ann xx congrats on your win Line

Your voice guides this sparrow, Line. Makes me think that the bird hears you and responds. Richly poetic... tender... and full of heart... And congrats on your win in Constance's contest. Light and Joy, Gershon
