Sparkles and Glitter
You never ever
Shoulda walked in this bar
It's a million miles away
From who you think you are
Music intoxicates
More than the Rum and Coke
That pretty girl smiling
Causes a lump in your throat
Sparkles and glitter
Red shoes with high heels
Her dress is too short
You love what it reveals
Yet something ain't right
She's not your baby
She's sweet bitter temptation
Disguised as a lady
She walks on over
Sits down right next to you
Asks you for a drink
One leads to quite a few
Nothing else seems to matter
As she gazes in your eyes
You imagine paradise
As you reach between her thighs
Sparkles and glitter
Red shoes with high heels
Her dress is too short
You love how she feels
Yet something ain't right
She's not your baby
She's sweet bitter temptation
Disguised as a lady
Laughter and whispers
Promises lead to dark places
Looking for something
In tight hot hidden spaces
Yet liars are liars
You can read it on their faces
You give up on forever
Just because your pulse races
Sparkles and glitter
Lay in a pile on the floor
When the sun rises
You don't want her any more
Guilt you can't escape
When you look in the mirror
You wish you could convince yourself
that the temptress led you here!
