Sour Strawberry
You say I’m a strawberry,
am I good enough to eat?
You call me sour
but don’t like it when I’m sweet;
Something about you frees me,
my partner in crime;
We don’t need rules anymore,
they’re just around to break anyhow;
Lustful Silence, loud sensitivity;
Such a potent mixture,
the sweet with something so sour;
Together we define the word adventure;
You say I’m a sour strawberry
the match for your brand of heat;
Exactly your type of sweet,
a wild little confection;
I’m the fire to your water,
you’re the sour to my sweet;
The home to each other’s wild
We’ve found foolproof balance.
My partner in crime,
I’ll forever stay your sour strawberry.
