Sour Milk

What’s with the frosty attitude,
are you mad at me
for the tough love words I said to you?
A blanket and sheet in the hallway
tells me my bed is gonna be the couch tonight
Sometimes a person gotta suffer some
for telling their spouse what’s right
She keeps giving me the prune face,
like she done drank some milk with a sour taste
Sour milk coming from between her breasts,
heart pumping out marital hate between the chest
What be the cause for this tainted love?
Told her to quit chirping with the gossip
Her and her close friends talking about their neighbors;
spreading rumors, getting into their private business
That ain’t good at all ...
being a busybody, you’re prone for a fall
Carrying here say from a third party place,
that kind of behavior leaves a sour taste
What our neighbors do that don’t concern me and you,
let it be ... leave it alone
Because of your troubling, meddlesome ways,
I’m gonna have a hard sleep tonight
	when I get home
Cold silence ain’t gonna make the morning taste fresh,
not with sour milk still coming from between your breasts
	Stop your heart
from pumping out hate between your refrigerated chest —
Get rid of that sour milk and it’s deleterious effect
Repentance and forgiveness are the loving twin breasts,
which yields healing lactose ...
brings couples back close
This milk of magnesia cures marital tummy upsets best

Nah, SO. If twenty years apart can still cause tension, then maybe so. Lol! Appreciate the support, my friend. Love and joy always.
