Sounds We Cannot Hear
Feel the silence therein
The stillness of a scent that permeates
The scant wave that reverberates
in what once faithful people called by name a soul
when shaking palsy— tremors the spotted head
the mottled hand
That held once one soft supple youthful shoot
tender as a sapling in its youth
Useful and new as a horizon is to a churning earth.
Beaming rays from ungodly imaginable space-time
Rays, rays, rays promising hope of a new day rousing creatures of the earth into some sort of ethereal daze of comprehension
Beautiful rays passing through infinite darkness
like the slightest shaft of light penetrating the deepest depths of the sea
I was here and you were here
And the unknown chaos that existed before space-time may live with in our DNA ALWAYS Hurtling. Hurtling.
TOWARDS RENEWAL
AND CONSCIOUSNESS
Put the squeeze on heart the promise of life
You too feel yourself taste my page
And introspection weighs heavy
Self-reflection can be your straight-jacket.
Allowing you to absorb the silence
Imbibe silence like the center of a white cloud
Silence of space and the most terrifying distance one cannot grasp—
that circles back on into infinity
All that stillness reverberating in you—
a pebble dropped in placid waters
slowing like a lightening strike in reverse
Inertia tugging away at your speedy protons and neutrons that make you
It perpetually outstrips Nirvana
Even outlives any current form you may be.
