Sound Check
My brother performs in a band;
Plays keyboards and part of his brand
Is to lighten the bass
For he likes to embrace
Treble notes, just the way he had planned.
But a sound check gave him a critique
That his bass came across kind of weak.
I said, “Being a rebel
Will get you in treble!”
Which brought smiles to us both, cheek to cheek.
