- Soul's Sorrow -

Sound of a rusted gate weeping deaf tears
                               hopelessness in a coconut shell
                         Chilly by autumn's absence of sunshine
                            the wings are tired from headwinds
                              Don't want to face another winter
                                  a reminder that the blizzard
                        stealing another year and treats us harshly

                               Past storms have come and gone
                         The voice is dulled with sorrow and gloom
                              Cracks in the clouds are unwritten
                             Time to replace that which was lost
                             Mother's firstborn child a little angel
                           No prayer or curse, heart is still beating

A poignant and moving write that left me in awe: i especially loved the lines “ cracks in the clouds are unwritten “ “ and those last three lines.:: hits home! So evocative !
