Soul Searching
Sip slow a breath
With each rhymed depth
As hymn of light
Grows through one night--
Then let the hush
Meet heart its gush
As a world wakes
On crest of lakes
To kiss life’s flame
This joy I claim:
And hazed thoughts spill
From a mind’s grill
When time brings calm
Like froth dewed balm…
How pure air’s drift
A dance, not swift
In twirls, how rare
The hours mild flare
Which lays on blooms
On fields of plumes:
Till young stars rise
Each beam glints eyes,
Closed by dark ink
In mist’s lull blink
While soul finds peace
Through life at ease:
Oh roots of grace
Lift up vast place
Where ride of wings
Thrills love that sings;
As god up high
Speaks to me nigh!
