Notes About The Poem

Soul Contract - Part 2

"Soul Contract (Part 2)"

If God created us? Who created God? And who created that God’s God?
This is like throwing a pebble in a Pond
the waves perpetuate spreading outward ever on.

Residual image of the Soul
handed free-will
given DNA skin-suit technology
self procreate from spark
direct elemental manifestation
given freedom of will and a heart full of LOVE
co-create neutrality
no Draconian monstrous egocentric incivility
with the All Seeing Eye, The God of Love
return reincarnation, which world
this or another one?

Is our world part of a Universe within Solar System within a Galaxy
within a Herculean Universe within a Herculean Solar System within a Herculean Galaxy
and so on?

Or does the buck just stop with God
and there is a Heaven and one God and there is a Great beyond
where this All Seeing God sits on a throne waiting for us
within his big library full of books
The Akashic Hall of Records
where God commands our pitiful Souls to look
and review every wrong turn, deed and other Soul we’ve kicked in the guts, caused strife, forsook?
Then God makes astute observations and asks us to answer questions
with TRUTH on our lowly BOOK OF LIFE?

We acknowledge we could have done better, we don’t dare make our defence
We hang on every look he gives, every grimace, every sigh, and think with fear,
"Will he grant forgiveness?".
And will we be given The Keys to pass and meet our loved ones,
who are hanging around with that look they get, they’re all looking rather tense?

(“Please take direction, Leanne”, I can hear them thinking, it’s coming through
telepathically very clear).
Maybe this once I’ll take direction, because this God seems quite alright,
he’s dangling the keys to The Gate and the place is full of LIGHT
I can always move with freedom in God’s Heaven you see and he and me,
well -
we’re very close,
we’re super tight.

“Not so fast. Watch this,” he says
”ROLL CALL FOR PERDITION!!” he booms, Godlike
and he stamps his foot on the button and there are other poor Souls
who don’t see it coming and they slide mercilessly screaming
down the shoot through the floor with derision.

“It’s not your time yet,” He purrs, “Here’s your Contract, you’ve been renewed”.

A feast of logical questions posed in a week written poem. You got me thinking with this one Leanne.
