Sonnets - Pleiades

Sonneteer Petrarch, with
      Shakespeare, set the standards:
   so little space - fourteen
            short lines, each with just ten
         syllables. Yet greats like
                 St. Vincent Millay weave
               scripts pregnant with meaning.

So pleased you included our girl Ms Millay in your ode to sonnets, and that last lines so true, I think great poetry has multiple meanings that can take time to come to term, as if were~

Thank you for your confidence in my little poem, Jennifer! I am well, and trying to do all my reading for the election. Because it's a presidential election there are many additional measures and propositions added, plus our city is voting for mayor. Say a prayer for the US.

Yes, especially since he mentioned sonnet as one of his three examples! I thought about doing something unique, but I think I'll be much happier writing about my favorite form even if I don't do well in the contest.
