Sonnet Xxvii Cast Me Not

But, if I backslide this year
Please, do not cast Me
I know that they will
Many stay around especially for that.

But, Pray for Me
Please, Pray for Me
I know not much about this route
Am only working to be my best
Help me to do just that.

Several Many we’ve cast
That a word of prayer would have saved
And a loving arm could have restored
My tendencies get complicated, even to me
So, if I seem to slide, I’ll need your balance.

Aina Oluwafisayomi Date: 9/13/2017 2:14:00 PM Many times in life, it’s easy to condemn the actions of people, especially when their errors are exposed to the public view. This popular reaction might not be the best. We all face the same frailties, uncertainties and tendencies, some are not able to avoid crashing. So if we’ve also gone through and are still going through these tendencies, then I think we should not be too quick to cast those that have lost hold. And I will definitely not want to be castigated when if tomorrow, it be my turn. Login to Reply
