Sonnet To Students - Petrachan

Students with their heads in books without thought of bluster, give ye time its place and they'll have their gain of rich rewards and greater things sought not in vain, worthy of such admiring looks where nothing's deemed lack luster. Study's not for lazy folk who can't pass the muster. They quickly give of selves to untold hurts well lain, when they travel this way on the road called main, where crags and crannies jar body and soul in cluster. Why say ye there's gain in pursuing pen and candle? So one can understand why things are as they are. I know what's important to me and all else trivia. Are you adding to man's betterment by holding that handle of what you feel important, pouring out near and far large draughts to others of your unique elixir "por excelencia"?
