Sonnet 2

In my veins blood has turned to writhing snakes
My lungs burn, an inferno in my chest
The being of my marrow yearns and aches
When you are far know I will have no rest

And know my heart is pierced by bloody sword
Each thought of you a lash upon my skin
I beg and cry and pray to wicked Lord
For you, your loving touch, your fickle grin

Your tenderness cools burning into warm
And blizzard turns into a temperate spring
Your arms they shelter, keeping me from harm
And kisses on me ease the lashes sting

I reach to you, my selfish thoughts now plain
Please hold me love and shelter me from pain
