Sonnet 23

Last night I walked into a cloud of dream The distant kind where the waters run deep And you beside me, did your presence gleam... Beyond the moon abroad my mystic sleep The clouds, gone with the wind, left skies alone For us to sing and dance upon the blue Underneath air above our robes have flown Only out done by humming birds anew Mornings magic returned myself to me And cotton clouds consumed the colored sky I thank thy dream, as now I think of thee On light landscapes of love I learn to fly We share our lips over the crescent moon Relived by kisses through the afternoon

Whoever this lady in your life is, she is one lucky gal to have a man who sees and appreciates all the beauty around him, Johnny. I love your writing style and wish I could master imagery as you have. Per your comment, most of my poems have messages and I have written four novels -- one has been published and I'm trying to rewrite two of the others. Thankyou for sharing this lovely poem!

Dear sonnet poet, your words paint magic for the mind! This is so light and full of breathless imagery that it draws one in. Such a lovely verse. Luv Eliz

this is very beautiful! a fanciful dream that sounds wonderful and continues into reality. just lovely! (and such a different tone than the one i just read. good job with each one - each tone fits its story perfectly)
