Sonnet 14 'My Heart Sees Beauty Daily Pass Me By'

My Heart sees beauty daily pass me by,
And does not grieve nor stop to make lament,
For I have in my Heart a single eye,
That makes me know that all my love is spent
Upon the One whose face I carry still,
Which illness, fate and fortune cannot mar,
I see her Beauty reign when she is ill,
And my Heart’s bruises set a higher bar.
I must learn how Love tenderly caresses
The face of pain, disfigured by estate.
I must find my way up out of the ditches
And never curse, but bravely bear Heart’s fate.
For I have seen the throne of Beauty reign,
It has done so before, and will again.

This poem is outstanding Andrew! You have mastered the sonnet form, something many find such a challenge. This is a divine romantic poetic offering Andrew! I loved it! It is very nice to meet you. A belated warm welcome to Poetry Soup! Aloha, Connie : )

I knew about it Andrew. It is sad he would not take credit for his work, but he may have valued his privacy more.

I thank most his example and help, Sir Francis Bacon, who wrote as Shakespeare (a little-known fact because he hid himself). Praise God! that we have all been given poetry! Aloha! to You! Very nice to meet you, as well!
