Songs of a Hermit
In the days of old when nights were bold
cobblestones were hard on the feet,
Their once lived a hermit but no one told
his songs were like that of a bleat.
The story goes he wore no shoes
But wore a sheep skin shirt
If he came to town the stones would hurt
and the ladies were likely to flirt.
Lived in a cabin beside a lake
Had no stove so he could not bake
He’d spike the fish, ate about 9ish
went to bed with a bellyache.
During the night while the villagers slept
it was pouring rain but into town he crept
Along the way he got a frog in his throat
Now he doesn’t sing like an old goat!
