Song
There was a boy with a golden skin,
with sky blue eyes and hair that shone.
The sun was his lover,
the wind his comb.
A heart beat in his chest
and his red blood flowed.
All his days were long.
This boy met another
with a similar look.
They gathered assets,
their love and a book.
Together, the two
learned shame.
Days flowed by in the river of Time,
clear 'till the weather changed.
Days in the river grew muddy and mean.
The wind whipped about, surly and cold.
The sun was hid by ominous clouds.
The boy paled; he grew pallid, he waned.
Seemingly suddenly old, ever alone,
The once tender boy with once golden skin
No longer thought thoughts that shone.
