Bewildering

Do you ever feel as if life is passing you by You're drowning in a sea's whirlpool of flux and there's no one around to hear you cry Sometimes life sucks! It really sucks There are times when I feel like I don't belong Annoyed by friends who can act like schmucks I try to do the right thing, but it turns out wrong Sometimes my life sucks! It really sucks. I wrote a poem and had it formatted to enter It was an edited sonnet; romantic lines in redux But when I hit 'submit' I cursed my Tormentor My computer sucks! It really sucks. I'm often plagued with decisions and questions and find myself standing at a crossroads, a crux and all I get are a lot of ridiculous suggestions Feeling bewildered sucks! Yeah, it sucks. Life should be filled with sunshine and flowers I fell in love, but he didn't love me back. Shucks! My heart was broken. Tears fell in salty showers Love sucks! Today, everything does.

While it may not be an extreme case with the composer herself, life's turns are often blandly uninspiring in the main...and adults' lives, that is - our boundlessly optimistic younger sisters' and brothers' merry Christmas seems to occur every day of their interminably blissful existence herebelow. So this is a pretty fertile niche for any introspective versifier's literary forays; and you've done it tolerable justice, Jenna:-) Congrats!

What an honest poem. I will be honest, Jenna. I only live one day at a time, so when A day is bad, I declare that the totality of life must suck for everyone on the planet. Losses in my life I have not penned about much. But I can complain and my daughter is all over me to knock it off. She cannot bear my bitterness. My heart has been broken so often, it's a wonder However, you got your points across well. You are truthful. Hurrah Forever~ Pangie xx

Your theory sounds plausible. I think you may have found a guide to happiness, Pangie. I always love reading your comments. I never know what to expect and I'm never disappointed by them.

I'm sure we all feel that way, especially in the last few months, but try to remain positive. I don't know about winning. I've had my share of disappointments lately, but it's trivial in the big picture. Thank you for leaving your generous comments, John.
