Something You Oughta Know

Dogs barking loud, sirens blaring, barreling down the street Arguments are catching steam, as confusion breaks forth everywhere Locomotive disagreements, everybody got an opinion tonight Facts are being kept from the public, crisis is high-wire balancing on razor-thin innuendo Did they or didn’t they shoot that little girl dead? How could they, why would they put a stray bullet in her head? Authorities ain’t telling the public what they know Every minute the rumor windmill spinning grows Five years of innocence caught in the cross hairs of a blood feud Tempers flared, hot lead filled the air And a young child lies lifeless on the stairs Had her favorite doll in her hand, with a smile frozen on her face She died oblivious to the noise, children are always captivated by their toys Arguments are now about who’s to blame, it doesn’t matter much, the fatal results aren’t gonna change But here’s something you oughta know ... she had an innocent thought in her heart, when her spirit departed out the shattered window But here’s another thing you oughta know ... God retrieves every spirit, however what manner they go But here’s one more thing you oughta know ... God will give a new body to every reborn soul But here’s something you oughta know ... Resurrection testifies that God is capable

Your words cling to the reality that has been brought to your existence with a firm grip, unmasking the faces of the religious hypocrites that preach God's words without understanding or adhering to the message they contain. Your words burn onto the page and the reader feels a rise in pulse. A stinging review of a world gone mad. Emile #7

However awful, you emphasized it by the way you shaped your words. And at the end of that all you have a hopeful message. SOmetimes it is so hard to see beyond the pain.
