Something On My Mind

She asked me
"Is there something on your mind?"
In that millisecond I pondered,
could "something" be on my mind?
And if "something" was on my mind,
would anyone be able to see it?

So I guess she gave me "something" to think about
It seems "something" is always bothering some people.
For others, there is "something" to look forward to
Some want that extra "something" 
When for others that's "something" that will never do!

If there is "something" special about her,
why is there "something" about him that bothers us so?
How can "something" be so different than "something else?
In one breath we have "something" to say
With the next breath we are holding "something" back.

I thought of the Movie "Something about Mary"
A friend told me "It was really something else!"
Would that mean that it was "something" other than a Movie?
I needed "something" to do so I watched it "something" like five times
Now is it possible for four to be "something" like five?
I guess in the end I was  searching for "something"
Sadly for me, "something" was missing.
"Something" might have popped up, if I watched it one more time!

She was surprised that it was "something",
that was the "something" on my mind".
She always thought there was "something"different about me
I guess in the end that is "something".
Now that I've thought about "something",
I think it's time to think of "something" else!
