Some Like It Hot

Some like it hot
  Some like it cold
When it's cold in Chicago
  My bones feel old

Some like it cold
  Some like it hot
When it's cold in Chicago
  A bowl of soup hits the spot
 
Some like Illinois
  Some do not
With the new legislation
  The state's going to pot

Some like America
  Some do not
Between Trump and Ilhan Omer
  The whole country's distraught

Some like poets
  Some do not
I can only tell you this:
  They give it all that they've got
