Some Folks

Amazing some folks don't believe in science
They say that global warming is not real
But in their quest for oil, form an alliance
Because it has the power to reveal
If you're like me, you're thinking, "What a heel!"

how long has this been going on?.. we know the world is changing for the worse and still, most turn a deaf ear on environmentalism... a powerful message you should send to the UN, daniel... al gore would love this, too.. huggs

Global warming is certainly real, but I understand that it too is G-d's plan, so I don't let it trouble me. If not for the industrial revolution and clearing forests for farming, how would there be enough food?

I'll put it this way: The purpose of beasts is to keep a check on game animals where there are no folks around. When folks take over and eat game, beasts should be culled before they eat folks.

I believe in killing to prevent human death. Would you want T. Rex roaming your backyard? I appreciated learning that the clouded leopard is a miniature saber-toothed tiger. We are lucky it is small. The size of its incisors relative to its skill is the same proportion and shape as the saber-tooth tiger. The clouded leopard is a wild killing machine.

Any animal that we put into extinction is simply another link missing from the food chain. Killing for food is one thing but killing just to be killing is WRONG! IMO:)

No, not to that extreme. I'm against waste. I'm opposed to pesticides. And pollution should be controlled as much as possible. The worst destroyer of health is the homogenization of milk, which is insidiously toxic! But my position is also people before animals. I suggest we cull 90% of bears, and nearly extinct tigers. Hundreds of Indians are killed by tigers every year. I believe G-d intends for us to control animal populations to safe and practical levels.

So you are saying global warming is God's plan as well as oil production, strip mining, pollution. Destroying the only planet we have. He did not speak to me personally but I seriously doubt he wanted us to pollute and waste. If you believe in God, you must believe he will provide. Thank you Hannah:)

You surely set the ball rolling with this one Dan. It's odd how folk react or 'remember' I seem to recall that science said the Sun was cooling down. Modern times seem to make a lie of that. Nice write from you as always. God Bless. D.

Greed was the beginning of man's problems. You have given voice to it in the simplest terms for anyone to understand. Great write! ps. Someone should tell Maureen that the earth is older than 6,000 years. The earliest Hominids have been dated back more than 10,000 years, and that's not counting the eons of time that the dinosaurs roamed it. So much for science!

Hello Danny, Your words definitely ring true here. Unlike Mr. Trump, there are many of us who do believe in Science and that Global Warming is for sure real and is a major threat to our Earth and generations to com. About Mr. Trump, his ignorance and foolishness are quite profound and make me think of Forrest Gump's very famous quote: "Stupid is, as Stupid does." I rest my case.
