Solitude

The secrets we tuck away,
                                   Locked within our memory,
                                   Ghostly images hover,
In quiet solitude they will rise.

Yes, this can happen. Just like difficult memories rarely shared, returning in nightmares too. Well done :)

Haunting little write, Paulette~well said. Nothing is ever entirely forgotten -- not joy nor pain. We are far more ghostly images than we know, the history of mankind tucked away in our DNA.
