Solitude

I sit in solitude staring at the sky Speaking to the stars in space Searching for something I sought to stop the sorrow that seeped through my skin Struggling to swim through the storm Screaming Staggering Systematically sleepwalking Speechless At a standstill, I stay. Soon, I'll slip away Softly Into the smoke A slave to the shadows sweeping the streets Steamrolling my surroundings Silently suffering No longer surviving No longer succumbing to staying standing I stop Spared from my sadness I sink

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
