Solitude

I sit alone, in my mind intertwined thoughts present themselves en mass of how to entertain myself and yet I dare not move. Rules of isolation reflecting in deserted streets, measures of social distance somewhat adhered to, empty supermarket shelves leave me bereft of choice. Weekly family visits now a vacant space in my once filled diary, I know not when normality shall resume, if at all. Boredom arises and I am attuned to the same routine, phone in hand I peruse updates to when, if I can resume occupational objectives with the same impending outcome, I am becoming embittered with authority but I must obey, this is not forever.
