Softly

Softly my love come to me.
Open you heart let me see.
The love you hold inside of thee.
Touch my lips so tenderly.

Softly my love kiss those lips.
Melt my heart, bestow your bliss.
Take me to heaven, love sublime.
I am yours and you are mine.

Softly my love all night through.
Hold my body next to you.
Wrap me up in your embrace.
Of true love now let me taste.

Softly my love let me taste you.
Inhale, touch and caress you.
I give myself to you my sweet.
No one else can compete.

Thank you Janice. I did write it as a song and recorded it also, as an accompaniment here. I should repost that recording I guess.

Thank you Darren. We have a song that goes..."I can cook and I can sew, I can keep the house right tidy. Rise up in the morning and get the breakfast ready. Nothing in this wide world would make me half as cheery, as a wee fat man, who would call me his own dearie." I had practiced it to sing at my sister's wedding....but no one asked me to take the stage. I cannot cook...but I can knit!

It's actually inspired by a song my daddy said he sang my mum on honeymoon in 1955..."Three times a day Jeaniemac....breakfast, lunch and dinner."
