Soaring

I stood above the brazen sky looking at the people passing by They have a miserable look on their faces and something is urging them to make haste to complete the final race before it’s too late And in the middle of the thick crowd, I saw some elated faces with courage in their chest and hope in their breast, and strong shoulders moving up and down to seize that special crown and follow where destiny is bound. They walk around with determination mumbling underneath their breath words of aspirations and perseverance and they move from county to county sealing up the holes and knocking on doors before they grow old. They stood in long lines until every drop of ink has sunken in, and all the machines were decorated in blue. The people pressed until everyone got through .I stood above the sky listening to the noises around them and nothing could make their spirits bend. They were determined remove the obstacles bring down the battle with an all out win so that everyone could sing and bring the house in perfect order so that the future can be brighter. I hear them chanting “we are going to get things done and we will have fun”, but the other side keeps dragging the conspiracy theories along messing with the peoples brain and bringing them to shame and causing them to become lame. Men and women dressed in red walking around banging their head on wall in dark and a voice screaming above them spilling out lies and synchronizing with the midnight cries. Everything fell on def ears and removes the windows of fear and so the marching band came along with an hopeless song. They finally realized that it was over and they couldn’t cross over, with heads down and a bashful frown they all made their way home And so it was for the first in history he finally concedes to my hard earned victory and the prudent skies above gave me a big hug and shower me with all its love.
