So Over It

Maybe it was what you said
Or what you didn’t say
The calls and texts that went unanswered
Maybe it’s your failure to commit
To a social engagement you initiated
I’m feeling like I’m not worth your time
You interrupted this stint of solitude
That I was content with
Got my hopes up but now they’re deflating
I don’t even know why I’m mad
I’m way too used to this
I guess I thought you were different
You just keep letting me down
And you wonder why I’m single
