So Long
It takes so long for the laughter to return
inside this leaky, old facade of a dream,
where laughter use to shake the rafters,
and joy was a bountiful wellspring.
It takes so long for the laughter to return.
It takes so long to find love,
one soul that does not lie,
someone to share your dreams with,
someone to stand by your side.
It takes so long to find love.
It takes so long for hearts to mend,
knock knock please let me in
don't leave me here unforgiven.
Leave your shoes at the door and walk softly,
It takes so long for hearts to mend.
