So It Starts
Another year starts, bringing promises galore,
new hopes and dreams yet to be fulfilled.
The future whatever it will be, rests in our hands.
Will we run with it, or not, remains to be seen?
Maybe a time to pause and reflect on things?
To remember where we went wrong before,
try to avoid the obvious pitfalls of yore.
Learning to forge a new path, breaking away
as we step forward, tepidation in our hearts.
Wait or stride Forward? That is the question.
Yet as we hurry on towards the future
we know deep down within our guts,
that it is all chance! A whim of fate
and in the end that's half of the fun.
